Howard Johnson Tropical Garden Plaza Kunming

We only stayed one night so didn't get to see/use many of the facilities. The bed was so comfortable and warm. Strong shower and good wifi. A fair way from the city centre however a metro line (Line 1) is nearby. Limited English spoken by staff however they did try their best to respond to questions. The hotel also gave us a free shuttle to Kunming South Railway station, a 15 minute drive.

Good value to money Nice buffet dinner and price. Hotel near to Kunming south railway station, 15 min. By car. Good to stay here for early morning train schedule to Xishuangbanna Pu’er and Laos.

Our staying in the hotel was a great experience. The facilities were clean and very confortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. We truly recommend it.

It contains the basics you can expect from a 5-star hotel. Staffs are super friendly and helpful, free shuttle bus to South train station is a plus.
